Our attention has been drawn to a news report currently circulating on social media about a man, Mr. Olaloye Olatunde, who was declared missing after allegedly ttending a “Child Labour Programme” in Akure, Ondo State, said to have been organized by Trace Project in partnership with CharaKids Foundation.
We wish to state clearly that CharaKids Foundation has no knowledge of, or partnership with, Trace Project — the organization mentioned in the report. We were not involved in the said programme in any way.
The last outreach we held was our Children’s Day event in May 2025 at Emure-ile, Owo, Ondo State. Since then, we have not organized or participated in any other outreach or training.
Our focus remains strictly on SDGs 2, 3, and 4 — Zero Hunger, Good Health & Well-being, and Quality Education. We do not engage in Child Advocacy or programmes related to Child Labour, as these are outside our mission.
All our activities are transparent and can be verified through our official platforms.
